The movie that won best foreign language picture was quite good. Surprising, beautifully shot, great performances by the leads. I especially liked hearing the different languages: I could make out what I assume is Afrikaans, along with a smattering of English, and a language that uses clicks but that I don’t know the name of.

Somehow, though he kills and kidnaps his way through the movie, you root for Tsotsi.
